The Most Crowded- I mean Happiest Place on Earth!

That is right! My man gave me my Christmas present early this year, we celebrated the end of finals at the Happiest Place on Earth! That place is pretty magical. We watched the fireworks show, Oooh'd and Ahhh'd at the fake snow, and one of the workers called me Princess :]

Jedi's in Training fight the dark side at the Jedi Academy.
Waiting in line.
Finches love decorative kale and french fries.
Ducks love Chimichangas
LOL at Ken's face. My favorite character from Toy Story 3.
Losers everywhere! Loser in the blue ruining the shot, loser taking this horrible photo, and the biggest losers in the middle taking cliche Disneyland couples photo.
Merry Christmas Everybody!!

One Woman's Trash, is Another Woman's Treasure.

Thanksgiving break was a much needed vacation! School was pretty hectic for me and cooking Thanksgiving dinner was not easy at all. While everyone else was out shopping for Black Friday, I whined down and went Thrift shopping with my baby girl Mellie. We went to 2 different shops and this is what I found. I got 5 items, and totaled to be around $20, YEAHHH BUDDY!

While I was taking these pictures, I was learning how to use my camera and using the lights to my advantage. Not bad for a beginner taking photos at 10pm huh? Plus posing felt pretty awkward while my best friend laughed at me.

Hah, the boyfriend called, so I used the phone as a prop!
Mellie bought me that silk scarf when she was studying abroad in the UK. I asked her to bring back an authentic French beret when she took a trip to France.... She didn't, but she found this at the thrift store. So now she can say she got me that beret. Check out this lining on this baby!

Which is your favorite outfit?

Finals

Sorry ladies and gents for not blogging for such a long time. School has had me in a choke hold since the semester started. I'm learning so much about Graphic design and have so much more to learn; Pantone colors, grids, and kerning, Helvetica, printing. Like always, I will continue my quality posts once winter break begins. I'm entering finals, and I've been feeling the stress like 3 weeks in advance. But before I go, I want to wish everyone the best of luck during finals and that all those all nighters and forgetting to eat will be well worth it!!

Here are some projects I've been working for finals:
Illustration for Tea. Would you buy it?
Illustration for bizarre article of how the government are training dolphins to attack terrorist and locate bombs.
(Ya didn't hear it from me)
Logo for a campaign to eat hole in the wall restaurants because I'm cheap. I'm really stressing about this project and the campaign going along with it. This is my first time making a logo, and I already hate it!
Mock Magazine design. I tried REALLY HARD not to use Helvetica.
Next up in blog posts: (Get Excited!)

Love you all! See you real soon!

Summer Recap 2

I have to admit, this Summer was AMAZING! This Summer has been so eventful because I got to experience new things, even if they weren't so exciting. I'm glad I came out of my shell, because I wouldn't have met so many cool people.

- Camped at Kern river and hung out with the boys. Slept on a nice air bed near a soothing stream thanks to Hosun.

- Road trip to San Diego, went to Pride parade, and got a really bad t-shirt tan.
- Did A LOT of drinking.

- Clubbed for the first time as 21 years old, it's so much more better than clubbing under age.
- Fished and caught stuff

- Fed and pet my new favorite animal, the Alpaca.
- Met a really swell guy.

- Worked for rent and my Macbook, but it kept me occupied. It made me look forward to my weekends.
- Hookah'd a lot.
- Was blessed by some strong kids at No Worries Now Prom.
- Mellie comes back from Leeds <3
- Couldn't walk for 3 days because I ran, walked, and climbed the hard part of Runyon Canyon.
- Went to Universal Studios
- Thrift shopping
- Competitive Beer Pong with friends
- Saw Dumbfoundead live at a lame Korean BBQ festival, but he was really good!
- Help my brother paint his new home.

- I fucking love the Habit!!!!!
- Watched the fireworks, Drake Bell perform, and the power rangers with my girl Ashlee at the Rose bowl.
- Obsessed with the show Misfits

- Ate Jamie Oliver's burger from Patra's for the Food Revolution and was disappointed.
- First Jury Duty, SO BORING!
- First time at the Golf range. I have a new found appreciation for golfers now.

Fishing at Oxnard, CA!

So this is my 3rd attempt at fishing. I was so excited to go fish at a real natural spot rather at a man made lake. Plus, I had never caught a fish the real way. So Johnny and I took a road trip up Oxnard, which is about 2 hours up the coast from Downtown LA. Now look at the sweet stuff I caught.
This is the first thing I caught with my fishing line, not with a crab net. It was beautiful and I couldn't wait to eat it. And boy was it good.
I also caught some little dudes like this Flounder, which I threw back into the ocean.
Soon the Mackrel started to bite around 7pm.
They were coming in like crazy. All the men at the pier were hooting and hollering every time they got something. It felt great because I was one of the only girls there and I was reeling them in like a man. I caught more, and more, and more. On this line I got 4 Mackerels. I was soooo happy.
A homemade tackel from Johnny's box. Isn't it cute? We used dead fish as bait.
There was one guy who fished and the end of the pier and caught this shark. He didn't have a strong line, so he couldn't reel it in on his own. He had to tire the bastard out back to shore. It was at least 4 feet.
After our catch, we went to the lunch tables and started cooking our food right there. That is as fresh as it gets. I brought a hot pot, and Johnny brought the sauces.
What we drank.
Yum, green onions, soy sauce, and other ingredients.
The chef enjoying his creation. T'was a good day.

OC Fair 2011

Welcome to the OC Fair! I've been waiting for this all year. My friends and I never been to it, and we were all super psyched. What we were most excited was the fair food of course.

Deep Fried Oreos were the best thing at the fair. Later we had fried cool-aid, bad choice.
We also got chili cheese fries and a cheesecake dipped in sprinkles.
Ashley and Johnny taking advantage of just turning 21. Margaritas anyone?
After a meal and a heart attack, we walked around looking for the petting zoo. This was by far my favorite part of the fair. At first I didn't want to spend $2 on animal pellets because I didn't want to break my twenty. But the goats were just so darn sweet and friendly, I had to go back and buy some.
Look at the precious eyes of this Alpaca.
We spent a good 30 minutes at the petting zoo just feeding them and laughing at Mellie freaking out everytime an animal's lips went near her hand. She was a good sport, because she kept on trying and she let me laugh at her.

The Ferris Wheel is a MUST when you go to the fair. It was quite high, Ashlee had to hold my hand. THUG LIFE.
The thrill seekers from the group.
The Procrastinators Drum Corp.
Johnny and I fighting pretending to be praying mantises. Did you know after mating, the female eats the male? WHO RUN THE WORLD? GIRLS.
Love them. They are zee best. Plus it was our first time hanging out with Mellie since she came back from the land of Harry Potter and truffles. We miss her, and we are glad she's back.
We ended the OC fair by locking Johnny out of my car. GOOD TIMES.
