One Woman's Trash, is Another Woman's Treasure.

Thanksgiving break was a much needed vacation! School was pretty hectic for me and cooking Thanksgiving dinner was not easy at all. While everyone else was out shopping for Black Friday, I whined down and went Thrift shopping with my baby girl Mellie. We went to 2 different shops and this is what I found. I got 5 items, and totaled to be around $20, YEAHHH BUDDY!

While I was taking these pictures, I was learning how to use my camera and using the lights to my advantage. Not bad for a beginner taking photos at 10pm huh? Plus posing felt pretty awkward while my best friend laughed at me.

Hah, the boyfriend called, so I used the phone as a prop!

Mellie bought me that silk scarf when she was studying abroad in the UK. I asked her to bring back an authentic French beret when she took a trip to France.... She didn't, but she found this at the thrift store. So now she can say she got me that beret. Check out this lining on this baby!

The Lonely Thrifter

It's SPRING BREAK! And I'm spending it by working at school :[ The school is deserted and my roommates are back at home. But it's okay. I like my alone time.

So here are some Exciting-Mundane Events that has happened to me during the break:

• I thought I had mice in my kitchen because I kept hearing squeaking. I spent 20 mins digging through my cupboards and at the same time I was so scared one might get freaked out and jump on me. Turns out, it was my oven timer squeaking. 
• My friend and I felt like being spontaneous. So we went to the recreational park at midnight to play with the swings, slides, and the monkey bars. Out of nowhere, the cops rolled in and flashed the light at us. My friend was freaked out and told me to hurry up and get in the car or else we might get a ticket. But the cops drove to the back and had a little talk with the guy playing basketball.
• I was watching Young Victoria on Netflix, and then my new laptop that I have had for a month starts making this scary static noise under my keyboard. I looked it up on forums and people said that after that noise their hard drive failed. I freaked out so I went to the Genius bar at the Apple store. Turns out, there was just a piece of plastic caught in the cooling fan.

The Thrift Gods are Smiling Upon Me

I had a dream the other day where I was looking through a girl's abandoned storage place. This girl was an artist and some how I found out her name was Erica Lim. I found some of her drawings, clothes, troll dolls, and purses. I don't know what my dream suppose to mean, but it put me in a real good mood to go thrift shopping. I don't normally buy anything from secondhand stores, just because I can never find anything that fits me right and the prices are way too high. I'm not going to fork over $40-$60 bucks over a used blouse or dress; today was different. I went to one in the valley and finally had some luck. Let me show you my treasures.

This dress fits like a dream and has a Victorian collar; so 

elegant! I'm going to modernize it and shorten it to above my

knees. I'm surprised this dress doesn't have that funky thrift

smell, it actually smells really good. I hope this dress doesn't fly 

around at night. Creepy.
